I am the vine, you are the branches.-- Jn15,5-7
Whoever remains in Me, with Me in him,
bears fruit in plenty; ...
If you remain in Me
and My words remain in you,
you may ask for whatever you please
and you will get it.
Just as each of us has various parts in one body,-- Rm12,4-5
and the parts do not all have the same function: in the same way,
all of us, though there are so many of us,
make up one body in Christ,
and as different parts
we are all joined to one another.
For as with the human body-- 1Co12,12-26
which is a unity although it has many parts
- all the parts of the body, though many,
still making up one single body -
so it is with Christ.
We were baptised into one body in a single Spirit. ...
If one part is hurt,
all the parts share its pain.
And if one part is honoured,
all the parts share its joy.
With all humility and gentleness, and with patience,-- Ep4,2-6
support each other in love.
Take every care to preserve the unity of the Spirit
by the peace that binds you together.
There is one Body, one Spirit,
just as one hope is the goal of your calling by God.
