Numbering Scheme

The reader should be aware of the two numbering schemes used in counting Psalms and verses in the Vulgate and in modern Bibles.

This book follows the new scheme but uses sometimes the Douay Rheims version of the Bible as a source which is a translation of the Vulgate. In such cases the numbers of Psalms given have to be reduced by one to get the number to be used locating the Psalm in the Douay Rheims Bible. The verse number may be off also by one or two.
