Seek him in simplicity of heart.-- Ws1,1b
Be ye therefore wise as serpents-- Mt10,16
and simple as doves.
Unless you change-- Mt18,3
and become like little children
you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
God has sent forth into our hearts-- Ga4,6
the Spirit of His Son
which cries out ``Abba!'' (``Father!'').
You have so little faith,-- Mt14,31
why did you doubt?
If you had faith-- Mt17,20
the size of a mustard seed...
I will espouse thee to Me in faith.-- Ho2,22
My just man will live by faith.-- Heb10,38
And this is the victory-- 1Jn5,4
that has overcome the world -
our faith.
And suddenly out came a Canaanite woman ...-- Mt15,22-28
and started shouting,
`Lord, Son of David, take pity on me.
My daughter is tormented by a devil.'
But he said not a word in answer to her.
And his disciples went and pleaded with him, saying,
`Give her what she wants, because she keeps shouting after us.'
He said in reply,
`I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.'
But the woman had come up and was bowing low before him.
`Lord,' she said, `help me.'
He replied,
`It is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to little dogs.'
She retorted,
`Ah yes, Lord; but even little dogs eat the scraps that fall from their masters' table.'
Then Jesus answered her,
`Woman, you have great faith.
Let your desire be granted.'
And from that moment her daughter was well again.
