Father, the hour is come, glorify Thy Son,-- Jn17,1b-2
that Thy Son may glorify Thee.
As Thou hast given Him power over all flesh,
that He may give eternal life to all
whom Thou hast given Him.
In the beginning was the Word,-- Jn1,1-3
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him:
and without Him was made nothing
that was made.
In Him was life,-- Jn1,4-5
and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness,
and the darkness did not comprehend it.
That was the true light,-- Jn1,9-11
which enlighteneth every man
that cometh into this world.
He was in the world,
and the world was made by Him,
and the world knew Him not.
He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
But as many as received Him,-- Jn1,12-13
He gave the power to be made the sons of God,
to them that believe in His name.
Who are born,
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man,
but of God.
And the Word was made flesh,-- Jn1,14
and dwelt among us,
and we saw His glory,
the glory as it were
of the only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.
No one has ever seen God;-- Jn1,18
it is the only Son,
who is close to the Father's heart,
who has made Him known.
Before the mountains were made,-- Ps90,2
or the earth and the world was formed;
from eternity and to eternity
Thou art God.
